Role Summary:

Business aligned senior HR Partners is accountable for the development and execution of People Strategy, key people initiatives, and oversee the accountability of HR Partners for their responsible business areas or functions. This role works closely with senior business leaders to provide strategic direction on decision making around people strategy to ensure it enables the business to attract, develop and retain the talent it needs to meet business objectives. By bringing market leading insights and thought leadership, this role supports Head of HR Partners and senior business leaders to anticipate future challenges and solve people and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Head of HR Partners to define HR strategies and identify strategic people needs with deep business insights
  • Translate people strategy into day to day decision making on people-related initiatives at a local business level
  • Own and lead the strategic people planning for the respective business area
  • Gather business requirements to support people related initiatives for their responsible business areas and liaise with Functional Experts to help shape people initiatives that meet business needs and safeguard Micro Focus against future workforce issues
  • Responsible for the execution of people strategies, people-related initiatives that enable the business to meet its objectives
  • Act as an integral member of business leadership team and provide appropriate consultation on people and broader business challenges
  • Utilize global HR technology to analyse people data, interpret key themes and provide senior business with insights including potential future talent challenges
  • Help Head of HR Partners understand existing talent challenges within responsible business areas including emerging capability gaps and development needs, and support the development of solutions
  • Collaborate effectively across the HR community to ensure global strategies, policies and processes are effectively implemented and measured
  • Lead change management activities, including measuring the impact of initiatives, managing communications locally and interpreting feedback
  • Lead HR Partners, responsible for coaching and personal development

Education and experience:

  • An undergraduate degree
  • Chartered membership of HR professional group such as CIPD and SHRM
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Minimum 5 years working in a HR Business Partner role
  • Advanced degree preferred (Masters or above)
  • Experience within an organization undergoing frequent M&A activity (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of developments and expertise in HR space including reward and talent management processes and principles
  • Holistic understanding of HR Partner function and key HR processes/policies that enable an effective and strategic people strategy
  • Agile leader that thrives in an ambiguous environment, demonstrating resilience through constant business change in a complex global network with challenging stakeholders
  • Strong people management and relationship building skills to influence key stakeholders and leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs
  • Business curiosity, an appetite for continuous improvement and the desire to seek experiences beyond HR
  • Strong problem solver that is able to consult with senior business leaders to help them find lasting solutions to persistent and urgent issues.
  • Advocate for working collaboratively across the HR community to strengthen the function’s reputation and its relationship with the business
  • Change management skills, with the ability to act as a change agent
  • Strong ability to manage resources both people and financial to drive and deliver successful ongoing projects
  • Experience driving and participating in large scale HR and organizational transformations
  • Ability to coach and advise leadership to empower employees and builds high-performing teams
  • Analytical thinker that can predict future talent issues in people data, summarize themes and articulate concerns in simple terms
  • Strong commercial awareness and good understanding of the people implications on business results
  • Ability to lead, coach and advise leadership to empower employees and builds high-performing teams
