Video Production Manager

A Micro Focus Video Production Manager will be knowledgeable in all aspects of video production, a video Swiss Army knife. The role will vary from production to production. Some productions will consist of holding an iPhone and shooting from moving car, others will involve complex multi-camera live productions. The bulk though will be made up of working with subject matter experts, our customers and partners in an effort to tell their stories and make them comfortable while doing it. This individual will need to be comfortable with utilizing the latest technology, from 4k cameras, motorized sliders, LED based lighting, drones and stabilizers. Not to leave post-production out of the mix, expert knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro X will be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with our internal clients to capture their ideas and create compelling visual stories
  • Take a production through the entire production workflow -  scripting, production and post production
  • Edit short and long format productions
  • Work within large scale conference settings to capture customer, partner and session video
  • Video asset management
  • Equipment maintenance and support
  • Work with external production resources as an extension of the team

Requirements

  • Must be able to work well with people and make them comfortable throughout the production process
  • Ability to work efficiently throughout the production and post production process
  • Expert knowledge of video capture techniques and technology      
    • How to light a scene
    • Cameras and camera technology, resolutions, frame rates, codecs
    • Screen capture best practices
  • Expert knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro X
  • Field and live sound techniques as well as post-production sound sweeting
  • Comfortable in live, multi-camera video production
